Sweet Freedom

The chains are loosening now.
Calories come and then they go.
Temptations only give scare briefly,
elating my spirit when they leave.
Keeping this body exercising,
along with viens hydrated
are new objectives in my life.
The bloated shadow that used to be
has shrunk and lengthened too.
Allthough it's candy and sugar I've liked,
freedom tastes the sweetest to me.

I've lost 40lbs since 1/7/06 and this journey has inspired me to create this poem for the rest of you to see just how much this has really moved me.
